Overall Purpose of the JobThe Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting efficient warehouse operations by accurately receiving, organizing, storing, retrieving, and shipping pipe inventory. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains organized storage systems, and upholds company standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining operational flow and delivering a positive customer experience through accurate and timely order fulfilment.
KeyActivities And Accountabilities
- Verify incoming shipments by comparing invoices to purchase orders.
- Inspect goods to ensure items are accurate, undamaged, and in excellent condition.
- Report discrepancies, missing items, or damaged goods to management promptly.
- Unbox, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Organize stock on shelving, bins, and overhang areas according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Accurately maintain inventory records within company databases and spreadsheet systems.
- Monitor stock levels and report lost or missing inventory.
- Provide management with accurate reports of goods received and shipped.
- Retrieve items accurately and efficiently for order processing.
- Properly pack shipments according to company standards to ensure safe delivery.
- Support timely and accurate shipment of customer orders.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (if certified).
- Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and productivity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fast‑paced operational environment preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and company inventory / spreadsheet systems required.
- Forklift certification and experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Ability to problem‑solve quickly and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Solid typing and data entry skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with commitment to quality and service standards.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain physical activity throughout the shift.
- Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely and efficiently.
- Satisfactory pre‑employment screening results (ie background check, drug/alcohol test, physical).
