Key Job Responsibilities:

Receiving and Shipping:

• Assist in receiving materials by checking items against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Help with unloading trucks and safely moving materials using a pallet jack.
• Support the shipping process by preparing and packing orders for customer shipments.

Order Fulfillment:

• Assist in pulling items from stock to fulfill customer orders, staging them for delivery or pickup.
• Verify the accuracy of items being packed or staged against sales orders.

Warehouse Organization and Maintenance:

• Help keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring materials are easy to locate.
• Assist in maintaining basic warehouse equipment, such as hand tools and pallet jacks

Inventory Support:

• Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock records.
• Update inventory systems when receiving or moving materials (training provided)

Logistics Coordination:

• Work with the Warehouse Coordinator to prepare and organize materials for delivery.
• Assist in coordinating deliveries with the internal team.

Customer Service:

• Occasionally assist customers picking up orders at the warehouse.
• Provide friendly, professional service during all customer interactions.

Metrics/KPIs:

On-Time Shipments:

• KPI:
  Percentage of orders shipped on time, meeting scheduled shipment dates.

Inventory Accuracy:

• KPI:
  Percentage of accurate inventory counts (matching system records with physical inventory).

Receiving Accuracy:

• KPI:
  Percentage of items received accurately against purchase orders (quantity and quality).

Order Staging Time:

• KPI:
  Average time taken to stage orders for shipping or pickup after receiving.

Cycle Count Completion:

• KPI:
  Number of cycle counts completed as scheduled.

Dead Stock Management:

• KPI:
  Percentage of dead stock items identified and processed (recycled, sold, or disposed).

Warehouse Efficiency:

• KPI:
  Time taken to process incoming and outgoing shipments.

Customer Returns Processing Time:

• KPI:
  Average time to process customer returns from initiation to completion (including shipping back to vendors, if required).

Forklift and Equipment Maintenance:

• KPI:
  Percentage of equipment maintenance completed on time (preventive maintenance, repairs, etc.).

Safety Incidents:

• KPI:
  Number of safety incidents (injuries, near misses, forklift accidents, etc.) in the warehouse.

Warehouse Cleanliness and Organization:

• KPI:
  Quarterly cleanliness audit score based on a standardized checklist.

Vendor Returns Processing Time:

• KPI:
  Average time taken to process vendor returns (VRMAs) from notification to completion.

Order Pre-Load Accuracy:

• KPI:
  Percentage of orders pre-loaded correctly for the next day's deliveries.

Event Prep Time:

• KPI:
  Time taken to prepare for special events (e.g., marketing or customer events).

Required Qualifications:

• No prior warehouse experience required; training will be provided.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills (will receive training on warehouse management systems).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
• Team player with good communication skills.
