Distribution Operations Coordinator

ROLE

We are seeking a Distribution Operations Coordinator to support daily operations at our 3PL Cross Dock Center in Houston, TX. This contractor role focuses on analyzing inbound and outbound flows, monitoring 3PL performance, and ensuring effective communication across suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

• Coordinate daily activities with the 3PL provider to support safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse and cross dock operations.
• Monitor aging inventory, generate tracking reports, and support inventory accuracy.
• Record outbound shipments, investigate discrepancies, and resolve shipping related issues.
• Troubleshoot system-related problems with support from the Site Lead and IT team.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal Schneider Electric teams regarding order status, exceptions, and scheduling.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and palletizing outbound materials.
• Assist in resolving shipping delays, product shortages, and/or damages.
• Support general site documentation, reporting, and data accuracy needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or cross dock environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• SAP ERP knowledge a plus. We will teach them if not.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to learn.
• Able to work in outside environment part of the time.
• Must have steel-toe boots.
• The work is 50/50. People and outdoor work & computer interface for tracking items for the dock.
