Warehouse Associate

Job Summary

BGT's Warehouse Associate will work under the Warehouse Manager's direction to ensure the warehouse runs smoothly. They will help keep the warehouse clean and organized, quickly locate and load material to trucks for shipment according to the provided ticket, maintain updated inventory counts, and be flexible to assist in other areas as needed.

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive materials within the warehouse, checking for damage or discrepancies against invoices.
• Accurately sort and store materials by project to optimize warehouse space.
• Pick and load outgoing materials according to requests.
• Count and enter data into the system to maintain up-to-date inventory.
• Perform routine clerical activities and other special projects under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager.
• Ability to deliver product locally if needed.

• High school diploma, GED, or higher educated required.

• 1+ year warehousing experience.

• Dependable, on-time team player.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Flooring and building material experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate respectfully toward other team members and customers.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Maintain bin sheet/inventory count accuracy.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Forklift certified preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English;
  Spanish is a plus.
• Follow the company's processes and safety procedures.
• Work is in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, as well as outdoors; must be willing to work in these conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation.

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

This position may be asked to travel locally on occasion.
