• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Clear and valid Texas Driver's License (Class B, CDL with air brake endorsement) and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirements preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language and perform counting and mathematical skills.
• Warehouse or distribution center experience with a working knowledge of warehouse terms and experience in the operation of standard warehouse equipment preferred.
• Physically able to perform assigned duties. Frequently required to lift up to 80 lbs., walk, stoop, stand, climb ladders and stairs. Continuously required to work with material handling machinery.
• Physically able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.

$15.51/HS5 Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees

• Receive merchandise utilizing receiving tickets, purchase orders and bills of lading.
• Pull and issue supplies and materials from inventory by requisition. Stage these materials by packaging items to make them ready for shipping inclusive of sorting, wrapping, packaging and labeling orders.
• Load delivery vehicles according to scheduled routing.
• Operate forklift, pallet moving and other standard warehousing equipment safely.
• Perform routine maintenance to warehouse equipment and notify the supervisor of contract repairs needed or safety concerns of equipment performance.
• Learn and use the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD electronic purchasing and inventory management systems as it relates to the material handler functions.
• Assist in the weekly inventory process.
• Support the Distribution Center with regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Center Manager or his designee.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; work on ladders and scaffolding. Exposure to dampness and humidity and slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
