Overview
The Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate will process and fulfill orders, accept incoming shipments, and oversee the general organization of the warehouse.
Responsibilities- Enter purchase order data in the inventory control system that was received through phone sales or incoming requisitions.
- Pull orders and load them into the customers' vehicles or prepare the shipping paperwork for UPS or LTL shipments.
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred stock, using a forklift.
- Take inventory or examine stock to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Verify material is received and supply necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping.
- Keep records of incoming and out-going orders, as well as the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.

- Receive and record all deliveries according to policy.
- Examine and inspect stock items for damages or defects, reporting any damage to a supervisor.
- Record damaged or defective items and return them to vendors.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, stockrooms, storage yards, or other areas.
- Answer customers' questions and advise customers on stock selection.
- Address complaints related to orders and notify a supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.
- Create and issue sales quotes daily.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Certifications & LicensesValid forklift certification required
ExperienceNo prior experience is required, but warehouse, order pulling, or customer service experience is preferred
Basic understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
