A global freight forwarding and logistics organization is seeking an experienced Air & Ocean Logistics Coordinator to support international import and export operations through its Houston gateway.

This role sits within a high-volume international forwarding environment managing air freight and ocean freight shipments across global trade lanes
. The successful candidate will coordinate shipments from booking through final delivery, ensuring operational accuracy, regulatory compliance, and clear communication between carriers, overseas agents, and customers.

The position requires a freight forwarding professional with strong knowledge of international shipping documentation, carrier coordination, and multimodal logistics execution
.

• Manage end-to-end air and ocean freight shipments for both import and export movements
  .
• Coordinate bookings with airlines, steamship lines, and international agents
  .
• Prepare and review international shipping documentation including:
• House Bills of Lading (HBL)
• Master Bills of Lading (MBL)
• Packing lists
• Shipping instructions
• Coordinate shipment milestones from origin booking through destination delivery
  .
• Communicate with overseas offices and partners to ensure proper documentation and shipment visibility.
• Arrange inland transportation including drayage, trucking, and final-mile delivery
  .
• Monitor shipment schedules and proactively manage delays, carrier schedule changes, or operational disruptions.
• Work closely with customs brokers to ensure timely import clearance and regulatory compliance
  .
• Maintain accurate shipment records within freight management systems and provide updates to customers.

• Coordinate cargo arrivals and arrival notice distribution
  .
• Manage container releases and coordinate terminal pickups and drayage
  .
• Ensure documentation accuracy to avoid demurrage, detention, or storage exposure
  .
• Liaise with customs brokerage teams to support smooth import clearance.

• Manage export bookings with carriers and airlines
  .
• Coordinate cargo delivery to airline terminals or container freight stations (CFS).
• Prepare export documentation and shipping instructions
  .
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements
  .

• 3–6+ years of experience in international freight forwarding operations
  .
• Proven experience managing both air freight and ocean freight shipments
  .
• Experience handling import and export logistics operations
  .
• Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and carrier coordination
  .
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced forwarding environment.

• Experience working within global freight forwarding organizations
  .
• Familiarity with freight management systems such as Cargo Wise One or similar platforms
  .
• Exposure to industrial, energy, manufacturing, or commercial cargo movements
