Project Pricing Specialist – Project Logistics

A global freight forwarding and project logistics organization is seeking a Project Pricing Specialist to support complex logistics tenders and project cargo quotations from its Houston operations hub.

This role sits within a specialized project logistics division
, supporting the commercial and operational teams responsible for large-scale industrial cargo movements. The successful candidate will develop competitive pricing models for heavy-lift, breakbulk, and out-of-gauge cargo
, working closely with project managers, carriers, and transport providers.

The position requires a logistics professional with strong experience in international freight forwarding pricing, multimodal transport cost analysis, and project cargo execution planning
.

• Prepare comprehensive logistics quotations and pricing proposals for project cargo shipments.
• Develop cost models covering ocean freight, air freight, heavy-lift transport, inland trucking, barging, and specialized equipment
  .
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from heavy-lift vessel operators, breakbulk carriers, charter operators, trucking companies, and port terminals
  .
• Review cargo specifications including dimensions, weight, lifting requirements, and handling constraints to determine appropriate transport solutions.
• Support commercial teams with tender responses, project bids, and logistics proposals for EPC contractors and industrial clients.
• Conduct route feasibility assessments including transport permits, infrastructure limitations, and cargo handling requirements.
• Prepare detailed rate sheets, cost breakdowns, and commercial summaries for internal approval and client submission.
• Collaborate with project logistics teams to ensure pricing reflects operational feasibility and execution requirements

• Maintain updated cost databases for global project carriers, specialized transport providers, and port services
  .
• Participate in post-tender analysis to review win rates, margin performance, and pricing competitiveness
  .

The role will support logistics pricing for cargo including:

• Heavy industrial machinery
• Oil and gas infrastructure components
• Power generation equipment including turbines and transformers
• Renewable energy components including wind turbines and towers
• Construction and infrastructure equipment

• 5+ years of experience within freight forwarding pricing or project logistics commercial roles
  .
• Proven experience pricing heavy-lift, breakbulk, and oversized cargo movements
  .
• Strong knowledge of multimodal transport solutions for project cargo
  .
• Experience obtaining rates from heavy-lift carriers, charter operators, and specialized trucking providers
  .
• Ability to review cargo dimensions and determine appropriate equipment and transport solutions
  .
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build structured pricing models.

• Experience supporting EPC contractors, energy companies, and industrial project clients
  .
• Exposure to global project cargo trade lanes including Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Asia
  .
• Familiarity with freight management systems or pricing platforms used within project logistics operations
