Dispatcher​/Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager with expertise in transportation management and logistics to oversee daily operations within our supply chain and freight services. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with industry-standard systems such as Cro, Oracle Transportation Management, Syte Line, and AS400. This role involves coordinating transportation planning, dispatching freight, managing fleet operations, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes.

The Manager will lead a team responsible for maintaining seamless logistics workflows, optimizing transportation routes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

• Oversee daily transportation operations including dispatching freight and managing fleet activities
• Utilize GIS and GPS technologies for route planning and transportation analysis
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline shipping & receiving processes
• Manage transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 for data entry, tracking, and reporting
• Supervise shipping schedules, inventory control, and freight documentation using Syte Line
• Implement transportation planning strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
• Lead analysis of logistics data to identify improvement opportunities
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Maintain effective communication with drivers, warehouse staff, vendors, and clients via multi-line phone systems and professional phone etiquette
• Oversee dispatching activities using transportation management systems and ensure timely delivery of freight

• Proven experience in transportation management, logistics, or supply chain roles
• Familiarity with GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management, Syte Line, AS400, and other TMS platforms
• Strong analysis skills to interpret logistics data and optimize operations
• Experience in dispatching freight within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills including phone etiquette and professional interaction with internal teams and external partners
• Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and multi-line phone systems
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL coordination is preferred
