Gateway Coordinator

Essential Job Functions

* Coordinate daily inbound and outbound freight through assigned gateway locations

* Ensure accurate shipment documentation, system updates, and milestone tracking

* Monitor capacity, routing performance, and service levels across global lanes

* Communicate proactively with stations, airlines, trucking partners, and warehouse teams

* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service integrity

* Oversee compliance with customs regulations, TSA/security requirements.

* Troubleshoot service disruptions, delays, and exceptions in real time

* Analyze shipment data and performance metrics to improve operational efficiency

* Support carrier negotiations and vendor management initiatives

* Assist in developing SOPs and process improvements within the gateway

* Other duties as assigned

* Technical competence (excel, word, power point etc.)

* Motivated, goal oriented

* High level of initiative and work well in a team environment

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction

Physical Requirements

* Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components

* Sitting for extended periods of time

* Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Education & Experience

* High School Diploma/GED is required

* Bachelor's degree preferred

* 1 - 2 years of experience in freight forwarding

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

* Professional certification may be required in this position.
