Position Description

Immediate opening for a TEAM Class A CDL Truck Driver. We want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Houston, TX.

• Driver Positions Pay:
  Weekly $1,607 or more
• Team Miles Pay: $0.36 per mile with 3,500‑5,000 miles per week
• Team Stops Pay: $23.90 per stop with 3‑6 stops per week
• Safety Bonus: $2,500 per quarter if eligible
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  7 days a week operation with 5 days OTR and 2 days home (choose Wed/Thu or Thu/Fri)
• Start Time: 12:00 AM dispatch

• Freight:
  No Touch – Clothing
• Assigned Trucks, No Slip Seating

• Uniforms and boot allowance provided
• Paid Personal Time Off starts Day 1 – 80 hours accrued in the first year
• Unused paid time is paid out at hourly rate after vacation is used

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
