Position Description
Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Yard Truck Driver at Ryder in Houston, TX.
Pay is $800 or more per week and includes weekly pay, paid training, varying schedule and start time.

Yard Jockey, Local Home Daily route, Yard Tractor, Dry Van 48' or 53', freight:
No Touch – Tires. Trucks are 36 months or newer and have 24/7 roadside maintenance; company drivers fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.
- Boot allowance provided
- Paid personal time off starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year
- Policy:
If you do not use paid personal time, we pay the remaining balance at your hourly rate - Medical, dental, vision start 30 days

- Minimum 21 years of age
- Verifiable driving experience with similar equipment: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years
- Pass Ryder drug test
- Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years
- Pass DOT physical
- Pass Yard Driver Examination
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret dovoljno laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Important Note:
Some positions require additional screening such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of assigned customer.
- Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
- Maintain compliance with safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs, and maintain accurate move and yard inventory records; other tasks as assigned
