Truck Driver Non CDL Yard

Position Description

Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Yard Truck Driver at Ryder in Houston, TX.

Pay is $800 or more per week and includes weekly pay, paid training, varying schedule and start time.

Vehicle requirements:
Deliver SOLOTo:
Yard Jockey, Local Home Daily route, Yard Tractor, Dry Van 48' or 53', freight:
No Touch – Tires. Trucks are 36 months or newer and have 24/7 roadside maintenance; company drivers fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

• Boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year

  If you do not use paid personal time, we pay the remaining balance at your hourly rate

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Verifiable driving experience with similar equipment: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years
• Pass DOT physical
• Pass Yard Driver Examination
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret dovoljno laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Important Note:

Some positions require additional screening such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of assigned customer.

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
• Maintain compliance with safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs, and maintain accurate move and yard inventory records; other tasks as assigned
