Export Compliance Coordinator

Overview

Export Compliance Coordinator at W&O, a Vytl Company. The role supports branch-level export compliance activities, monitoring regulations related to customs clearance, licenses, trade agreements, and embargoes to prevent violations and maintain legal compliance. This role provides analysis of EAR, FTR, OFAC, and Antiboycott regulations and collaborates with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and customers. Stay up to date on regulatory changes and communicate them to relevant parties.

• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to importing and exporting goods
• Process import/export licenses and permits for the transportation industry
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with international trade
• Train employees on customs regulations and other compliance matters
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to policies and regulations
• Coordinate with other departments within the company to ensure compliance
• Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations related to international trade
• Collaborate with government agencies and external partners to resolve compliance issues
• Maintain records and documentation related to import/export activities

• Education:
  
  High school Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Import/Export Regulations knowledge (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Expert knowledge of import and export regulations in trade compliance, international or global trade, customs brokerage, or related operations
• High level of computer efficiency in Microsoft Office and Google programs
• Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines
• Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
