Primary Purpose

Responsible for stocking, picking and delivering goods such as supplies, furniture, textbooks; operating district vehicles and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL with air brakes preferred; must obtain CDL within 90 days after employment.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in warehouse environment preferred.
  • Neat personal appearance and good work habits.
  • Ability to work with people effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions and plan work.
  • Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
  • Familiarity with school locations preferred.
  • Occasional overtime required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English;
    Spanish preferred.
Major

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accurate handling of receiving, stocking, shipping duties and associated paperwork.
  • Conduct physical inventory as scheduled.
  • Work with regular stock, consigned goods, and moving/storing furniture and equipment.
  • Use computer to access inventory information and communicate electronically.
  • Safe operation of vehicles and large forklifts.
  • Maintain safe warehouse environment.
  • Clean and maintain warehouse facilities.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 105 pounds, push/pull, bend, reach, carry.
  • Standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders/scaffold, kneeling, crouching.
  • Repetitive hand motions.
  • Exposure to temperature extremes, humidity, noise, low illumination, vibration, microwaves, chemical hazards, solar exposure, moving vehicles.
