Our client is looking for an experienced logistics professional to join their growing team and oversee dispatch and operations management on direct-hire basis. This role is fully onsite in Northwest Houston.

• Dispatch, schedule and manage drivers for heavy-haul shipments
• Coordinate with drivers and stakeholders throughout shipment process to ensure timely service and customer-satisfaction
• Optimize routes with drivers to account for distance, traffic, weather, delivery schedules, etc.
• Update tracking information in company systems
• Address/resolve any incidents as they arise during transit
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is collected and documented throughout shipment processes
• Stay aware of industry relevant updates and implement/enforce safety policies
• Must have 2-3+ years of experience dispatching heavy haul/over-dimension freight
• Multi-modal and port shipping experience required, experience with oil & gas industry shipments preferred
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations required, including relevant permit and escort requirements for heavy-haul/OD freight
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
