Group Fitness Instructor (Mat Pilates & Yoga)
Position Title:
Group Fitness Instructor - Mat Pilates & Yoga
Schedule:
2-4 classes per week, Monday-Thursday between 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Compensation:
* Hourly rate: $15-$35depending on certification level, experience, and class format
Employment Type:

Follows campus academic calendar with breaks during summer and winter sessions
Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and engaging Mat Pilates and Yoga instructors to join our campus fitness program. Instructors will lead safe, inclusive, and motivating classes for students, faculty, and staff. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mindful movement and helping participants build strength, flexibility, and confidence.
In addition to weekly classes, instructors may have opportunities to lead special workshops and pop‑up classes throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities
* Teach 2-4 Mat Pilates and/or Yoga classes per week between 12 PM - 8 PM, Monday-Thursday
* Deliver well-structured, safe, and creative classes suitable for all levels
* Provide clear instruction, thoughtful sequencing, and effective cueing
* Offer modifications and progressions to accommodate diverse abilities
* Create a welcoming, supportive class environment
* Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
* Prepare studio space, set up equipment, and ensure cleanliness after use
* Communicate scheduling needs and availability in advance
* Positively represent the campus fitness and wellness program
Qualifications
* Certification in Mat Pilates, Yoga (200-hour minimum), or both
* CPR/AED certification required or willingness to obtain
* Prior teaching experience preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to participant safety, inclusivity, and effective instruction
Work Environment & Schedule
* Classes run according to the campus academic calendar, with breaks during summer and winter
* Instructors may participate in or lead special workshops and pop‑up classes, depending on availability, skills, and program needs
* Flexible scheduling within the afternoon/evening Monday-Thursday class block
* Supportive, student-centered environment focused on wellness and community
