Back End Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure | AI Foundations)

We’re seeking a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our AI Foundations team, focused on building and scaling cloud-native infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of backend engineering, Kubernetes platform architecture, and Dev Ops innovation.

You’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing highly scalable, secure, and observable cloud platforms that power AI-driven applications.

• Design and develop robust server-side logic
  , APIs, and database integrations
• Architect and implement cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes (expert-level required)
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes Operators, and Crossplane (primarily on Azure)
• Design and implement cloud‑agnostic observability stacks (Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo/Jaeger, Open Telemetry, Grafana, Alert manager)
• Implement platform security controls including event monitoring, Falco detection, and CIS benchmark compliance
• Establish and oversee Dev Ops processes, leveraging strong Git Ops best practices
• Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver cohesive, high-performance solutions
• Lead rapid prototyping of emerging technologies
• Provide technical leadership, documentation, and reusable, well-tested components
• Conduct internal workshops to support end-user enablement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or related technical roles
• Expert-level experience with Kubernetes
• Strong experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure (Azure preferred)
• Deep understanding of scalable cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
• Experience designing secure and highly observable platforms
• Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide engineering teams
