Senior Software Engineer

The Back End Software Engineer is responsible for developing the back end of a web application, handling the logic, database interactions, user authentication, configuration, etc. The Back End Software Engineer evaluates emerging technologies and provides strategic, innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to increase the efficiency, reliability and integration of Schlumberger services and operations. This person works semi-autonomously as part of a team that performs rapid prototyping of emerging technologies to solve industry-related problems.

• Develop and maintain server-side logic and central databases to ensure high performance and responsiveness
• Integrate front-end components with server-side applications
• Collaborate with front-end developers, customers, users, and Product Managers to define objectives and deliver cohesive solutions
• Stay current with emerging technologies and market trends
• Provide technical leadership and clear documentation for developers and stakeholders
• Apply established usability principles and customer-driven requirements
• Build prototypes and production systems that meet quality standards
• Promote code reuse through well-documented, tested shared components
