1647 has been hired to recruit for a leading Oil & Gas company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Onsite work is required, remote and/or hybrid will not be considered.

Direct Hire or Contractor?

In this role, you will be a full-time W2 employee at 1647 serving as a contractor at our client.

Long term. 12+ months.

Learn our client's business and propose new solutions to problems

Lead a team of developers and be responsible for the products software quality

Developing new user-facing features using React.js

Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

Mentor developers to assist in developing/improving their skill set

7+ years of software development experience

3+ years of React

JS development

Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

Thorough understanding of container-based deployment principles, including Docker and deployment to Kubernetes

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Server-side development, including the ability to write high performance and maintainable server-side APIs using express

Excellent written and oral communication

Expert level at git source control, including best practices for a team using pull requests

A knack for benchmarking and optimization

Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

Modern web security methodologies & familiarity with both relational databases and non-relational databases (No

SQL, Elastic Search, Time Based DB)

Asynchronous programming including Promises, async/await, and ES7 generators, along with state management using Redux

Familiar with command line tools with Bash/ZSH (Linux or Mac)
