Sr. Flight Software Engineer

Overview

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA, San Jose, CA, or Houston, TX offices. You will work on a variety of challenging projects including NASA’s Artemis program and the Power Propulsion Element.

• Design and implement software for embedded Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for flight software systems.
• Develop software verification plans, unit level and open-loop test suites, and procedures; execute tests and document results to ensure software system requirements are met.
• Perform software product lifecycle management.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, processes, and system-specific issues.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 8 years of software development experience
• Embedded C++ programming skills on multicore-processor architecture

• VxWorks and cFS experience

To support pay transparency, salary ranges are disclosed below. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the range provided, determined by factors including experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions. The base pay for this position within California is: $ - $ annually. For all other states, ranges are market-driven based on geographic cost of labor.

This position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results; the specific plan and target will be determined based on the role.
