Senior Back-End Software Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer to design and build scalable, secure, cloud-native platforms supporting advanced AI initiatives. This role partners closely with the AI Foundations team to deliver resilient, high-performance backend and infrastructure solutions across multi-cloud environments.

• Develop and maintain high-performance server-side services
• Design and optimize centralized databases for reliability and scale
• Implement authentication, authorization, and configuration frameworks
• Integrate front-end components with backend services
• Architect and operate cloud-native platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Lead production Kubernetes platform design and operations
• Build infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes Operators, and Crossplane
• Implement Git Ops-based CI/CD and secure Dev Ops workflows
• Enable multi-cloud / cloud-agnostic platform strategies
• Deploy and manage observability stacks (Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo/Jaeger, Open Telemetry, Grafana, Alert manager)
• Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting standards
• Implement runtime security and threat detection (e.g., Falco) aligned with CIS benchmarks
• Drive performance, reliability, and fault tolerance initiatives
• Provide technical leadership, documentation, and team mentorship
• Prototype and evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proven background in distributed systems and scalable infrastructure
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Deep knowledge of observability and monitoring ecosystems
• Experience implementing secure Dev Ops / Git Ops workflows
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Internal developer platform (IDP) or AI/ML infrastructure experience
• Kubernetes Operators and Crossplane
• Experience supporting large-scale AI workloads or foundation models
• Track record balancing innovation with operational excellence

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or related field
