MIMS Software Developer; Houston, TX

MIMS (Mobile Information Management System)

• 3+ years of experience with MIMS and experience migrating custom code to Xamarin to .NET MAUI
• Strong understanding of MIMS to be the team SME for this migration; must be able to work with little to no guidance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field

• SSP consulting experience a plus

• Lead and execute the migration of GIS-related mobile applications from Xamarin to .NET MAUI

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions tailored for the utility sector

• Collaborate with GIS analysts, engineers, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration of GIS data and mobile solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to code conversion and GIS mobile application development.
• Optimize application performance, enhance UI/UX, and ensure compliance with best practices in utility and GIS applications

• Document technical specifications, migration processes, and development workflows.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in .NET MAUI and GIS software development.
