As the Part-Time Resident Advocate you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the Flagship Campus. You will provide services including crisis intervention for clients and information/referrals. You monitor security cameras and entrances/exits of the campus for individuals accessing the shelter to ensure client safety. You are responsible for handling all incoming calls and routing them accordingly.
Your Schedule- Part Time
- Saturday-Sunday 2:30 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m. and Friday 6:00 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m. - Work Model: 100% on site
- Local Travel: 25%
- Hourly Compensation: $17.02
- Pay schedule:
Semi-monthly - Generous Paid Time Off based on hours worked

QualificationsThe Requirements We are Seeking:
- You have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- You have a minimum of one year’s experience in customer service, administrative support, or in a nonprofit setting working with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Professional English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Outlook)
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation
- Monitor security systems for unusual activity and provide shelter access to clients, staff, and volunteers
- Manage access cards for clients, staff, and visitors utilizing EMERGE security program
- Perform shelter operations, including providing access cards to clients and maintaining a Daily Activity Report
- Enforce residential guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and information/referrals to clients
- Provide administrative support to staff, such as relaying messages and providing resource referrals
- Assist in conflict resolution with the objective of modeling positive problem solving, respectful communication, and self-restraint
- Ensure the security and safety of the Flagship Campus and its residents when handling crisis situations
- Answer and route incoming calls
- Collaborate with Residential Mentors, Case Managers, and Hotline Advocates to provide support to clients
- Other duties/projects may be assigned

- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and with others
