Responsibilities- Provide quality care and supervision to clients in accordance with program philosophy, policy and procedure and client rights. Monitor direct care of all clients in ratio by supervising clients in their daily activities as outlined in their personalized service plan and creating a safe and nurturing home environment. Follow direct supervision from shift leader to ensure safety plans or behavior management plans are followed through as instructed.
Provide transportation, including driving company vehicles, for clients to various programming locations. - Effectively communicate information pertaining to clients according to the program policies and procedures to ensure quality services and client safety. Maintain accurate and ongoing documentation regarding daily client care, activities, events, and changes in behaviors that occurred on duty.
- Assist in the development, oversight, or provision of activities for clients in care as approved by your supervisor for safety and licensure compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and continue ongoing training compliance in accordance with state regulation, funder, and Catholic Charities, agency and program, requirements. Attend all mandatory meetings and required trainings.
- Perform floater duties, including completing shift paperwork, relieving coworkers from the floor, assisting in transportation of clients, administering medication, providing ratio coverage and constant supervision, assisting with new intakes, and assisting with clothing distribution.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
- Expertise
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- One (1) year of employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.

- Ability to cook, handle laundry, and house cleaning.
- Ability to safely drive and transport clients on agency vehicles.
- Ability to appropriately handle and maintain confidential information.
- Able to prioritize work responsibilities, handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of professional boundaries with children in care, staff, and volunteers.
- Able to demonstrate ability to be culturally sensitive and understanding to all clients served.
- Maintain client information confidential as required by HIPAA, licensing, funder, and Catholic Charities.
