Service Technician

Clayton Services is searching for a Service Technician
to join a thriving manufacturing equipment company in the Houston area. The Service Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining sheet metal fabrication machinery while providing high-quality technical support to customers in the field.

Schedule: Must be able to travel 100% of the time (Monday - Friday); weekends spent at home

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems related to sheet metal fabrication equipment
• Provide in-field technical service, including repair and warranty support
• Deliver phone-based technical assistance to customers through the internal Help Desk
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications
• Operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and electrical testing instruments
• Execute equipment installations and provide customer training during installation
• Collaborate with internal teams to support organizational growth
• Assist with additional service-related projects as needed

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
• Comfortable working in a variety of industrial and field environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (Monday–Friday)

Service Technician

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial service work preferred
• Mechanical and electrical experience preferred
• Extensive electrical background is highly preferred
• Roll forming or sheet metal equipment experience preferred
• Must be located in or near the Houston area and within one hour of a major airport (IAH)
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Passport (some international travel may be required)
