Job Summary

Our client is seeking a qualified Electrician to install and test electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role includes conduit and wireway installation per NEC standards, reading blueprints, working with MCCs and VFDs, and maintaining a safe, organized worksite. A technical degree or equivalent experience and solid NEC knowledge are required.

Job Description

• Install and test electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Install wireways, conduits, and cable trays to adhere to NEC code and customer specifications.
• Perform simple utility wire connections and understand electrical circuits.
• Read blueprints and perform conduit threading.
• Maintain and ensure tools are in good working condition.
• Train and mentor employees on your shift.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe environment.
• Prevent workplace injuries by following safety protocols and attending safety meetings

Skills Required

• Vocational/technical degree in electricity or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Experience with commercial and industrial equipment, MCCs, substation switch gear, and variable frequency drives

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Master or Journeyman Electrician License preferred
• Work Hours:
  
  1 st Shift, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Pay Rate/Salary

• $22.00 - $30.00/hr. depending on experience
