Houston Classic Carport is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic Fabricator to join our busy specialty car repair center. Are you looking to display your talents at SEMA, Barrett Jackson and or PRI? If so, you are our ideal candidate. As a Diesel Performance Mechanic Fabricator, you will assist our team by diagnosing, designing, and repairing issues with Diesel performance engines.

Diesel tuning, Cummings, Power stroke and Duramax experience is a plus.

As a Diesel Mechanic Fabricator, you must have an in-depth understanding of diesel engine systems and components as well as an intermediate understanding of gas engines and electrical systems. Light Duty and Light Commercial Diesel truck experience is required.

The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with our team of mechanics, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable recommendations and repairs.

• Diagnose and repair modern diesel engines and classic gas engines
• Carry out routine collector car maintenance and repairs
• Repair and restore diesel and classic vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Ability to modify and engineer diesel engines, electrical systems, suspension systems, and steering
• Ability to follow and complete internal automotive task accountability forms and systems

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
• Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
• Strong Team Work and communication skills are required
