Location: Huy Cool Refrigeration LLC, 5728 Teague Rd, Houston, Texas 77041
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: Competitive salary, starting at $28/hr

• Diagnosing and repairing complex commercial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems, i.e. ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, glycol systems.
• Conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
• Installing and commissioning new refrigeration equipment, calibrating controls, and verifying functionality.
• Performing refrigerant recovery, leak testing, and compliance tasks in line with EPA standards.
• Providing expert technical support and recommendations to customers for system improvements.
• Maintaining detailed service records and documentation for every job.

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration.
• Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) is required.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, advanced technical knowledge, and proficiency with diagnostic tools, ability to read and use schematics to diagnose issues.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school certification is preferred.
• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 75 pounds and working in various environments, including cold storage, rooftops, and tight spaces.

You’ll work on-site at client locations, sometimes in extreme temperatures or tight spaces, ensuring systems run safely and efficiently. On-call hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
