We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturer of composite pipe. This role involves making both electrical and mechanical repairs on various equipment. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and repair PLCs, drives, limit switches, 3-phase electrical motors, E-stop switches, motor starter circuits up to 480V, and 24V DC circuits. Additionally, the role includes building control panel boxes, pulling wire to equipment, and performing mechanical repairs on hydraulics, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and bearings.
Light welding and fabrication may be required to ensure proper facility and equipment maintenance.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, drives, and electrical motors.
- Experience with mechanical repairs, particularly in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Knowledge of 480V electrical systems.
- Ability to build a control panel.
- Familiarity with electrical prints, PLC troubleshooting, circuits, and schematics.
- Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
This position is based in a non-air‑conditioned, open‑air shop. The role requires working the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77038.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
