We are looking for a skilled Drywall Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of drywall installation
, including framing, hanging, finishing, and repairs. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship on commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to specifications and layouts.
- Frame walls, soffits, and ceilings using metal or wood studs.
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to company and OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a drywall carpenter or finisher in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of drywall installation techniques, framing, and finishing processes.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and layout drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment.
- Physically able to lift materials, climb ladders, and work at heights when required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Texas Driver's License.
- Must be available to work 50+ hours per week and meet project deadlines.
