Journeyman Electrician - Houston Area Locations

Position Summary

Journeyman Electrician – Houston Area Locations (Texas Medical Center).

Work schedule:

Tuesday – Friday, 3 pm‑1 am. Travel required to multiple Houston-area facilities (League City, West Houston, The Woodlands, Northwest Houston, and others).

USD $57,500 – $86,500 annually.

• Install, alter, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment at journeyman level подарок.
• Interpret and execute work from instructions, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
• Estimate work costs, order materials, and maintain inventory of parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, transformers, and other systems.
• Respond to emergencies and critical equipment alarms.
• Investigate outages and coordinate workflows with technicians and mechanics.
• Conduct walk‑through inspections of construction projects and create punch lists.
• Respond to customer calls and provide service.
• Document corrective action, labor hours, and materials used on work orders.
• Communicate timely with supervisors regarding issues encountered.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship (preferred).
• One year Byrne‑journeyman experience in commercial/industrial electrical work, including interior and exterior wiring and repair of equipment.
• Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician license (required).
• Valid Texas Master Electrician license (required).
• Valid class A, B or C Texas driver’s license; eligible to operate state and institutional vehicles (preferred).
• Flexibility to travel throughout Houston‑area locations.
