Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Mechanic in Baytown, TX to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our client's continued growth and success in global logistics.

Schedule | Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM) Overtime when needed | Must be flexible to be on call one weekend out of the month

Pay | $20 - $27/hr. (Depending on experience)

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing preventative maintenance on trucks, heavy equipment, forklifts, etc.
• Valid driver's license, personal toolbox, and experience and understanding of blueprints and diagrams.
• Electrical, hydraulic, and diesel system knowledge.

Essential Tasks

This role involves performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure reliability. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting issues in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components while utilizing schematics and diagnostic tools for repairs. Accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities is essential, along with strong teamwork and a commitment to workplace safety. Candidates should be adaptable, eager to learn new technologies, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
