Field Service Technician

Overview

The Field Technician’s primary focus of responsibility is to properly train, observe, and oversee our client’s contractors in the processes of installing Zap-Lok pipelines. They must be capable of occasional heavy lifting, working in various harsh weather climates, traveling, and in some instances troubleshooting and repairing the Zap-Lok equipment used in our installation process. The Field Technician will travel to various pipeline installation projects, domestic and international, and remain on site until the job is complete, working the same hours as the contractor.

When not performing pipeline installation duties, they will work at our Houston facility/home base, assisting in preparing pipe for field installation—otherwise referred to as Zap-Lok End Preparation—and working with our mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs to the Zap-Lok equipment.

• Candidate should have obtained at least a High School Diploma or GED.
• Candidate must be physically able to perform tasks that include: moving heavy objects, working long hours on occasion, and have common knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must have good driving record.
• Must be able to communicate and interact, in a professional manner, with contractors and clients.
• Candidate will be drug tested prior to employment, and will participate in random drug testing thereafter.
• The ability and desire to travel domestically and internationally for potentially weeks at a time.
• Oil and Gas Industry experience a plus.
• Pipeline construction experience a plus.
• Experience with hydraulic and/or diesel equipment a plus.
• Provide employment history and credible references.
