Plumbing Works of Houston is hiring experienced, licensed Commercial Journeyman Plumbers for immediate full-time positions. We're a commercial-only plumbing contractor specializing in tenant build-outs, medical facilities, and ground-up projects. As a Journeyman Plumber, you'll run projects from start to finish with an apprentice, focusing on delivering efficient, high-quality results. You'll need expertise in cast iron, copper, no-hub, soldering, press fittings, ADA requirements, and large plumbing layouts. This role is ideal for motivated individuals ready to take ownership, lead by example, and grow in a supportive, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Run assigned commercial plumbing projects independently or with an apprentice.
• Install and service plumbing systems using cast iron, copper, PVC, no-hub, solder, and press fittings.
• Ensure ADA compliance in all plumbing dimensions and installations.
• Maintain clear communication with the office, clients, and supervisors.
• Train and mentor assigned apprentices on each job.
• Coordinate material needs and project timelines.
• Ensure high-quality, code-compliant work that meets customer expectations.
• Represent the company professionally on-site at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumber License (Texas) - required
• Minimum 2 years of commercial plumbing experience
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, ADA requirements, and commercial buildouts
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must provide personal hand tools (power tools provided)
• Clean driving record and valid Texas driver's license
• Ability to manage jobs efficiently and work well independently or with a team
