Class B Diesel Mechanic Technician – Performance Food service

Position Summary:

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, and converter dollies with minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations, complete accurate documentation in the Enterprise Asset Management system, and provide road‑call services as needed.

• Monday – Friday 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• $30.00 per hour or more based on experience

• Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and standard component inspections on fleet diesel equipment.
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform required repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles are licensed and registered before road‑worthiness.
• Document all repairs and maintenance in the online Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical parts, replacing parts as necessary.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience repairing medium to heavy‑duty vehicles (PMs, tires & wheels, air brakes, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and A/C refrigeration).

$30.00 per hour or more based on experience.
