CCSF Facility Screening Lead

The CCSF Facility Screener is responsible for performing and overseeing TSA-compliant cargo screening operations within the Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). This role ensures adherence to 49 CFR Part 1549 requirements, maintains chain-of-custody integrity, and supports all security program standards related to air cargo screening.

This position may also serve as the on-site Screening Lead, supervising daily screening activities and ensuring all procedures are executed in accordance with TSA-approved security programs.

• Perform physical cargo screening using TSA-approved screening methods (X-ray, ETD, physical inspection, etc.)
• Supervise screening operations and screening personnel during assigned shifts
• Ensure compliance with 49 CFR Part 1549 and the facility’s TSA-approved security program
• Maintain chain-of-custody controls for screened cargo
• Verify proper documentation and screening logs
• Report discrepancies, incidents, or security concerns immediately
• Coordinate with TSA representatives during inspections or audits
• Ensure access control within the secured CCSF area
• Assist with screening staff training and quality control checks

• Minimum 1 year of experience in cargo screening, security screening, or related regulated screening environment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) in accordance with 49 CFR § requirements
• Ability to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA)
• Strong understanding of cargo security protocols and chain-of-custody procedures
• High attention to detail and ability to follow strict compliance procedures
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

• Prior experience in a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF)
• Experience with TSA inspections and regulatory audits
• Supervisory or team lead experience in a security‑regulated environment
• Forklift certification (preferred but not required)

In accordance with 49 CFR §, individuals performing or directly supervising cargo screening must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents and must successfully complete all TSA‑required vetting and training.
