** Houston, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols and respond promptly to incidents.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.

+ Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or other unwanted behavior.

+ Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or customers, addressing questions and providing assistance as required.

+ Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or routine activities during assigned shifts.

+ Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, including those related to carrying and handling firearms as an armed patrol officer.

* + Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Level III Armed Certification Texas only.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
