What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any incidents or hazards according to established protocols.
  • Assist store staff and visitors with security-related concerns and provide guidance as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and other disruptive behaviors within the retail environment.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
  • Adhere to all company, client, and legal requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
Minimum Requirements
  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
