Senior Medical Science Liaison – Autoantibody Pipeline – South Central
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks an experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) focused on the Autoantibody Pipeline for the South‑Central region. The role is field‑based with a primary focus on Dallas, TX or Houston, TX, covering Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. 70% travel is required.
Job Function- Medical Affairs – Medical Science Liaison
- Scientific/Technology, Research and Development
- Develop and maintain a field‑strategic plan and execute proactive and reactive outreach to opinion leaders, health‑care professionals, and academic institutions.
- Respond promptly to unsolicited scientific inquiries, integrating real‑world evidence into practice and adapting communication style to audience needs.
- Lead at least one scientific or strategic Immunology project, identifying educational gaps and driving improved clinical understanding.
- Support investigator‑initiated research by coordinating with R&D, medical affairs, and operations teams, and providing clinical trial support for site identification and launch activities.
- Build and sustain relationships with MDs, DOs, PhDs, PAs, NPs, RNs, Pharm Ds, and other health‑care providers within the territory.
- Generate and share medical insights, maintain visual and data‑driven presentations for internal and external audiences, and represent J&J at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and investigator meetings.
- Perform administrative duties accurately and timely, including expense reporting and activity documentation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
- Pharm
D, PhD, or MD with 3+ years of experience in hematology, immunology, or auto/allo‑immune disease. - Minimum 3 years of MSL experience (or 2–3 years of relevant clinical or research experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and remote technologies.
- Ability to travel up to 70 % of the time.
- Experience launching rare‑disease therapeutics.
- Extensive presentation experience.
- Analytics, dashboards, clinical research, regulatory, customer centricity, data‑driven decision making, digital literacy, medical affairs, medical communications, and mentorship skills.
