Area Sales Manager II - International HVAC - REQ # 1376
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Area Sales Manager II, International in Houston, TX or Dallas, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for developing relationships with the distribution, contractors, architectural, engineering and design build community to educate about Mitsubishi/Mitsubishi Trane products, their applications, increase the number of opportunities, and subsequent sales. Work with internal partners in education and application of Mitsubishi/Mitsubishi Trane Commercial and Residential products in the assigned territory, with assigned accounts, or in business development as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Perform direct and joint sales calls to develop relationships with local architects, engineers, and contractors—educating them on applying CITY MULTI Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, e-Series Air Cooled Chiller systems, M-series & P-series residential & light commercial systems, and other Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC products
- Engage and develop relationships with distributor staff, contractors, developers, engineers, architects, and others.
- Work with distributors on reports for business development, sales plans, inventory forecasting, marketing plans or contractor development activities.
- Prepare weekly and/or monthly reports.
- Create and deliver presentations and training on sales, application, and product topics.
- Assist in strategy meetings and business development plans for markets or products.
- Develop Distributor and contractor personnel to be proficient in selling METUS products to their customer base.
- Assist contractors, engineers, distributors and others on proper application and design of METUS products
- Administer sales and promotional programs
- Identify and develop distribution channels in underperforming regions.
- Participate in local trade shows and industry associations, functions and other networking groups
- Develop relationships with utilities, builders, developers and others
- Manage project pipeline ensuring that they are tracked within the Sales Force CRM system.
- Advise management on local market conditions including competitive landscape and opportunities
- Keep track of projects, quotes, and other activities in Sales Force
- Work with product development, order management, marketing and all other departments as needed
- Participate in training opportunities and Continuous Improvement events as requested or required.
- Occasional job site visits to support customers and service group members.
- Willing to travel up to 75% for various Company meetings and training both domestically and internationally
- Other Duties as assigned.
- Degree in Engineering or Business Management
- 5 years sales experience, preferably in the HVAC industry preferred.
- 5 years calling on the engineering community preferred.
- 5 years working with HVAC distributors and dealer organizations.
- 5 years working with HVAC application and design is preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
- Excellent working skills with PowerPoint/Excel/Word and other Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- Must reside in the United States
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $94,400 and $129,800/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions of 30% of total compensation calculated as achievement against annual revenue targets, incentive compensation and discretionary awards.
