About the Role ☎️

Buildforce is expanding nationally from our roots in Texas and is hiring for our first Business Development Representative (BDR) to help lead the charge. This is an opportunity to work at the “tip of the spear” for a business revolutionizing the construction industry. This role comes with a base salary, performance-based commission, and stock options in the company.

The BDR will report to our Launch Manager and help them to identify and qualify prospects in the geographic markets that Buildforce leadership has identified as prime locations for our business to operate in. To be successful in this role, an individual must be fearless about picking up the phone to call and introduce themselves and Buildforce to possible customers for the first time, and to do so in the face of rejection.

They must also be detail-oriented and a quick learner.

Buildforce operates like a startup. This means that team members must be autonomous self-starters who are intrinsically motivated to succeed and take a sense of ownership over their contribution to the business.

  • Establish contact primarily via phone and email with points of contact working for prospective Buildforce customers
  • Act as the owner of our CRM (Hub Spot) data for Companies and Contacts in our focus launch markets
  • Research prospective customers to enable the Launch Manager to make a greater impact during visits to launch markets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, data, and leadership team to further our effort of launching new markets in the coming years
Skills & Qualifications
  • 1–3+ years of BDR / SDR / outbound sales experience (B2B preferred)
  • Comfortable doing true cold outreach — and resilient when it doesn’t land
  • Strong researcher who can understand an industry, a region, and an account quickly
  • Clear, confident communicator on the phone and in writing
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to work without a rigid playbook
  • Curious about construction, skilled trades, and how projects actually get built
