The RoleWe’re seeking a highly motivated Spine Sales Specialist to support our expanding spine implant business in Houston, TX and surrounding area(s). This remote role requires initiative, independence, and strong communication skills. You’ll provide operating room (OR) case coverage support, ensure the safe and effective use of our spinal implant systems, and deliver outstanding support to surgeons, hospital staff, and distributors.
Beyond clinical expertise, this position demands a strong sales mindset. You will actively drive adoption of GS Medical products, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth across the territory. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to grow into an Area Manager role, taking on territory development, sales responsibility, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Provide intraoperative case coverage for GS Medical spine implant products
- Serve as a technical expert on products, instrumentation, and surgical techniques
- Prepare, maintain, and manage surgical trays, implants, and instruments within a timely manner to meet surgery requirements per case(s).
- Build strong relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and hospital decision‑makers
- Educate and train medical professionals on product use and best practices
- Troubleshoot and support case‑related needs in real time. This includes problem solving during the case if an issue arises with GS Medical instruments or implants.
- Work well under pressure (no hesitations or uncertainty)
- Partner with the sales team to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, regulations, and company policies
- Manage accurate case logs, inventory, and reporting directly to our operations team to make sure restocks per case are delivered on time.
- Be readily available for last minute case(s)
- Traveling to surrounding territories to support other surgeon(s) as needed
- Putting instruments back where they belong after case to make sure instruments and implants do not get lost during process to SPD.
- 3+ years’ experience in medical device sales, surgical support, or OR case coverage (spine or orthopedics required)
- Background as a PA, Surgical Technologist, or RN with spine implant experience highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to earn surgeon and OR staff trust
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem‑solver who thrives in fast‑paced surgical settings
- Ability to work independently, remotely and manage a flexible, travel‑heavy schedule
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred (not required with relevant experience)
