Sta-Dry Roofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Representative to grow our Houston-area commercial portfolio through service-first selling, proactive inspections, and long-term relationship building. The ideal candidate thrives on building trust, creating value through service, and developing repeat commercial business through consistent market activity.
What This Role IsA relationship-driven commercial sales role focused on selling service first, not one-off projects. Designed to develop new revenue streams through:
- Preventative maintenance
- Service agreements
- Inspections and ongoing client support
A hunter role built on self-generated leads and market presence.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development & Sales
- Generate new commercial business through property inspections as the primary entry point
- Identify service opportunities that lead to long-term accounts
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through consistent outreach and follow-up
- Develop repeat business within the Houston commercial market
- Lead Generation & Market Activity
- Proactively generate leads through networking, relationship development, and market intelligence
- No reliance on inbound leads or storm work
- Maintain consistent touch points with prospects and accounts
- Networking & Industry Involvement
- Actively participate in Building Owners & Managers Associations (BOMA) and local/ regional industry associations
- Build relationships with building owners, property managers, and asset managers
- Represent Sta-Dry Roofing professionally at industry events
- Consultant & Partner Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party consultants
- Understand consultant-driven workflows and specifications
- The majority of commercial work flows through consultant relationships; this is critical to success
- Proven experience in commercial roofing sales or service-based commercial sales
- Strong hunter mentality with comfort initiating relationships
- Skilled at:
Building long-term relationships, selling recurring service and maintenance, developing repeat commercial business - Comfort operating independently in the field
- Active or willing to be active in relevant industry associations
- Strong communication and follow-up discipline
- Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to:
Build long-term commercial relationships - Generate recurring service revenue
- Convert inspections into ongoing client partnerships
- Develop repeat and referral business in the Houston market
- Establish trusted consultant and owner relationships
