RequiredSkills and Abilities
- At least three (2) years of previous hotel sales manager experience required
- Familiar with Houston/Galleria area highly preferred
- Delphi/Sales Force experience highly preferred
- Strong ability to multitask and perform required sales administrative duties
- Previous Hilton experience a plus
- Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards
- Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing, effectively deal with internal and external guests and provide overall guest satisfaction
- Direct and indirect solicitation for a combination of several markets, including corporate group
- Conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients for annual, weekday and weekend business
- Maintain client relationships, up-sell products and services, closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs
- Understand combination of market segments, competitors strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and sell against them to meet monthly and quarterly goals
- Conduct property tours and promote facilities and services
- Create banquet event orders, write contracts and service events in relation to a range market segments
