Senior Sales Manager

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent immediate opening for a Senior Sales Manager at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a premier facility with four major venues: NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Senior Sales Manager to join our Sales team. The Senior Sales Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the sales process in applicable markets and serve as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage complex accounts with a focus on regional and national associations.
  • Develop sales goals, objectives, and a business plan for soliciting state, local meeting, event business, and national corporate/direct selling markets.
  • Assist the Director of Sales in producing and executing the annual sales budget and developing sales strategies.
  • Meet and/or exceed projections, schedules, and timelines.
  • Coordinate promotional activities for local meetings and event business.
  • Initiate the sales effort by contacting prospective user groups and individuals.
  • Follow up on leads generated by outside sources.
  • Compile bid proposals, sales and revenue projection reports, and other relevant sales data.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations at trade shows, conventions, and sales events.
  • Assist in recruiting and training new team members.
  • Negotiate, compile, and execute sales contracts and agreements.
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective clients and discuss the facility with site selection committees or other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a client database and follow up with clients to assess future needs.
  • Establish an extensive network with local groups, tourism-related industries, hotels, travel agencies, etc.
  • Participate with community and industry related associations, committees, and task forces.
  • Travel to participate in trade shows and promotional activities on a state, regional, and national level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High‑achieving, results‑oriented Senior Sales Manager who generates original ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with the sales team to generate new leads.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Effective under pressure and stringent schedules, producing accurate results.
  • Knowledge of sales, advertising, marketing, sales presentation techniques, public speaking, and operations of trade shows, meetings, conventions, and events.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others.
  • Willingness to work extended and/or irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Adaptability to changing situations.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel and standard office equipment.
Other Qualifications

Licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in Texas.

Physical Demands

Regular movement around the facility; standing for long periods during events; speaking and hearing. May require work inside or outside the building as needed.
