Sales Specialist (Full-Time) - New York Overview
Intercontinental Exchange Data Services (ICE Data Services) is expanding our global sales organization and looking for a high‑caliber Sales Specialist to join our growing team. The Sales Specialist will help maintain and grow ICE Connect Desktop products, working with key Energy/Commodities and Equity accounts in major cities. The ICE Desktop product suite includes ICE IM/Chat, ICE Data, ICE Options and Analytics, and ICE Connect.
The role is ideally suited to a self‑motivated individual who relishes being at the forefront of business activities and thrives on their own successes and those of the team. A strong leader and communicator with knowledge of the market data and trading environment from a content, technology and networking perspective is required. We seek a professional with a proven track record of achieving superlative results against quota, collaborating across all aspects of the desktop business, and possessing critical thinking from both business and technical perspectives.
Experience with financial technology applications geared toward market participants in physical and financial commodities or equity derivatives markets is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of multi‑line, multi‑speaker applications used by traders and brokers in the capital and commodity markets is helpful.
- Work with Sales Executives and Relationship Managers to help achieve the Americas new business sales number.
- Conduct new business demos and existing training for customers.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure they add value and revenue to sales and provide new training ideas (highlighting new ICE Voice functionality and new content).
- Work closely with the ICE Desktop Product team prior to new releases.
- Coordinate with partner IPC regarding customer feedback.
- Partner with ICE Marketing to ensure they have the necessary ICE Voice content for their campaigns.
- Exceed sales and retention quota across the ICE Connect platform (focused on ICE Voice for ICE Chat).
- Manage and develop strong client relationships.
- Work with the product and business teams to provide feedback on any client, prospect or partner requirements.
- Significant over‑achievement sales experience with a focus on financial markets (specifically market data, desktop, or voice/chat technologies).
- Strong industry knowledge of Capital & Commodities markets including futures and options workflows.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Competency in consultative sales including solution selling.
- History of selling through training.
- Competent CRM‑Salesforce skills.
- Solid negotiation skills.
- Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, exchange, or trading firm.
The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $80,000 - $120,000. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s rewarding and uncapped sales commission incentives.
