Clothing Intake and Processing Associate

Entrusted Houston is seeking a reliable, mission-minded individual to join our team as a Part-Time Clothing Intake & Processing Associate
. This role is ideal for someone with experience working in retail clothing environments who enjoys organization and hands‑on work.

Supports the daily operations of our Resource Center. This position focuses heavily on sorting new and gently used donated clothing, shoes, and personal items by size and gender, evaluating items for quality and damage, and assisting with fulfilling requests from case managers. Pull and prepare item requests for the families we serve. Restock and rotate inventory as directed by the Operations Director.

The work involves handling clothing through hanging, folding, and maintaining an orderly, organized space. There will be occasional interaction with caseworkers, so strong customer service and interpersonal skills are important.

• Sort and evaluate donated clothing, shoes, and personal items, including checking for damage or excessive wear.
• Hang, fold, categorize, and shelve donated items according to established standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Pull and prepare item requests for the families we serve.
• Restock and rotate inventory as directed by the Operations Director.
• Support team members and volunteers with Resource Center operations.

• Retail clothing experience strongly preferred (store, boutique, thrift, etc.).
• Enjoys working with clothing and organizing items by size, category, and style.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to lift 25 to 30 pounds comfortably.
• Willing and able to safely climb ladders.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, sorting, and moving items.

• Team‑oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of care.

Part‑time, approximately 24 hours per week. During peak times, up to 30 hours per week may be requested. Flexible scheduling options are available.
