• Provide customer service and conduct various tasks within the bakery under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and clean shelving and display cases.
• Clean, fill, and rotate self‑serve displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the store bakery.
• Work with customers to take special orders and with the Baker to determine which items may need to be baked or decorated.
• Help in department cleaning by hosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure cleanliness.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.

• Read and write Spanish/English and interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
