• Read and write Spanish and English; interact with the general public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, clean shelves, and maintain self‑serve displays. You must be able to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends, and perform heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for extended periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory tasks.
