Summary/Responsibilities of this position: A Sales Lead will apply advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to their area of specialization, potentially carrying out supervisory responsibilities. Key duties include ordering products to maximize sales, demonstrating culinary food expertise, working independently from detailed instructions, and applying guidelines and procedures to decision-making. The role requires monitoring and addressing issues promptly, making sound decisions, and possessing specific product knowledge depending on the department.

• May assist in writing weekly department schedules
• Identify and prioritize high-importance activities
• Communicate clear expectations for assignments
• Delegate responsibilities to team members
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain operational effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation
• Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control
• Assist in merchandising to maximize sales
• Use suggestive selling techniques to increase sales

Preferred qualifications include 5-8 years of experience, knowledge of department-specific products, food preparation, and equipment, extensive knowledge of specialty foods, strong customer service skills, a passion for food, Materials Handling Equipment certification, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in extreme temperatures is required. Previous retail or restaurant experience is also necessary.

Must be able to lift and manage objects weighing over 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs.
